100cc DIRT BIKES AND 110cc MINI DIRT BIKES

Powerful Mini Dirt Motorbikes

Any dream of a late teen or an early 20-year-old boy is to go as fast as possible, at every given moment, day and night. Some people have made this their career, including professional dirt bike riders.

However the pros haven’t always been able to go that fast and perform that much control. As the old saying goes, “You have to learn to crawl before you can walk, and you must learn to walk before you can run.” Aspiring professional dirt bike riders learn how to “crawl” by beginning their career with 100cc dirt bikes.

Characteristics of Powerful 110cc Dirt Bikes

100cc dirt bikes are powerful, but not quite “NASA” powerful (no turbines). A 100cc engine has about only ten horsepower, which doesn’t sound like much but has enough power behind it to bring the rider up to about 50 mph. That’s fast enough to help the amateur dirt bike rider at learning to make those jumps properly, yet the 100cc dirt bikes are durable enough to take a little abuse without falling apart too quickly.

Their smaller size gives the beginning rider a feel for the motorcycle, and also will give the rider a clue about the inner workings. For instance if something were to break, the dirt bike rider can look inside and get used to the most common problems and learn to fix them quickly and efficiently.

Safety Tips When Riding Dirt Bikes

One very important thing to keep in mind before jumping on any dirt bike or mini dirt bike, let alone a 100cc dirt bike, is to receive formal training and instructions from a reliable source. As much as 90% to 95% of dirt bike riders involved in motorcycle accidents didn’t complete a formal training course. With those statements in mind, in order to make your dirt bike riding experience as safe as possible, find a school that offers a formal training class from a professional.

Always wear full protective gear while riding any mini motor bike, especially 100cc dirt bikes because doing so will give you a feel for what riding a dirt bike properly should feel like. Proper attire should include elbow and knee pads, a helmet, gloves, proper footwear, and even a body jumpsuit.

Another major safety issue is bad weather. If you insist on riding while it’s foggy or raining, decrease your speed a few miles per hour. Also if your 100cc mini dirt bike is equipped with one, turn on the headlights. Conditions of bad weather can harbor great safety concerns, so if you have any doubts about your riding condition, it would probably be best if you don’t even ride and put the bike back in the garage.
